Building Futures That Last

Serving as Program Director at Bald Ridge Lodge allows me to be part of a life-changing chapter for the young men in our care. The transition into adulthood is not easy, and for many of them, it comes with obstacles that would challenge anyone. Yet, time and again, I see courage, growth, and an incredible drive to build something better for themselves. Their strength and determination are what fuel our mission every day.

The young men we support often come to us after experiencing deep instability—whether through trauma, neglect, or loss. What we provide is more than shelter; it’s a sense of consistency, belonging, and the chance to start again. Within Bald Ridge Lodge, they find guidance, encouragement, and the space to begin shaping a future they can believe in.

Our work is centered on preparing them for what comes next. That means helping them develop practical skills, emotional awareness, and the confidence to navigate life on their own. From learning how to manage responsibilities to building healthy connections, every step is intentional. We are committed to making sure they leave with not only resources, but with the mindset and tools needed to succeed independently.

None of this happens in isolation. The impact we make is directly tied to the generosity and commitment of people who care about these young men and their futures. Because of this support, we are able to provide critical services like career preparation, educational support, counseling, and continued guidance beyond their time in our program.

As we approach our Day of Giving, I’m reminded that every act of generosity plays a role in shaping these outcomes. The support we receive allows us to continue and expand the programs that make a lasting difference, both during their time with us and long after they move forward.

Your contribution is an investment in possibility. It helps create stability where there once was uncertainty and opens doors that may have once felt out of reach. Most importantly, it reminds these young men that they are not alone, that there are people who believe in their potential and are willing to stand beside them.
